Frequently Asked Questions
The Furry Godmother Doggy Daycare provides daytime activities for your furkid while you are busy. Dogs are mixed together for supervised playtime with others of similar in size, age and activity level. Dogs learn how to be sociable, play nicely and take a few naps.
Why use Doggy Daycare?
- Your dog chews things or is bored at home. Daycare provides a stimulating environment for your dog – and they are never bored!
- You work full time and don’t want to leave your dog home alone for 5 days a week. You work – they play!
- Your dog has extra high energy. Daycare provides a full day of exercise and activity for your dog – our aim is that he will be much calmer when you come home from work!
- You want your dog to become more comfortable around other dogs. Our fully supervised play groups mean your dog learns to socialise in a safe environment
- You are having work done around the home and don’t want your dog “helping”. We can keep an eye on him and keep him out of the way, and at the same time he can have fun playing.
- Your dog is old or is on medication, and you cannot keep an eye on them during the day. We have areas for just those dogs – they can rest quietly and just watch the antics or join in if they are able to.
Who can come?
Any dog 4 months or over that is fully vaccinated with a C5. Bitches that are on heat cannot attend the Daycare Centre until after their season has ended.
When can they come?
The Darwin Airport Daycare Centre is open between 7.00am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (closed Public Holidays)
Furkids can be booked in for a half-day of daycare, up to five hours of playtime during the above times!
How do I book?
Bookings are essential. In order to properly supervise the dogs, and to maintain staff:pet ratios, group sizes are limited. Bookings can be made at our bookings page and reoccurring bookings can be made to secure your furkid’s place on specific days.
New to Doggy Daycare?
If this is your furkids first day of daycare at The Furry Godmother, please visit our bookings page. We will then contact you to arrange a day and time for your dog’s first day, so we can assess their suitability. Some dogs may not be suitable for daycare, or may be suited to one of our Daycare Centres but not the other - our trained staff will talk to you if we feel this is the case.-
Such a wonderful place. Staff are genuine pet lovers who make my 2 Staffys feel loved and cared for. Facilities are A1. I am confident my fur babies are/have gotten the same level of care I would give them.
